Nice spin off of the Metal Gear series. Hacking shit up is a lot of fun. Was quite short though. But good to see Raiden take the main stage again in a non-sucky form like he did in Metal Gear Solid 2. Gameplay wise quite similar to Platinum's previous game, Bayonetta with the added edition of the blade physics and lots and lots of cutting shit up in slow motion. Interesting to see how the world of Metal Gear has moved on since #4 as well. Another win.

Woahs. Amazing ending to an amazing series. But it's not really the ending...there will be more. But it is the ending to this particular line of the story. I think... Brilliant closing with epic battles and many surprises along the way. As well as many nice throwbacks and pieces of nostalgia. But very melancholy too with Snake being so very very old and you know the whole time you're marching towards your own death. Kind of sad it's all done now... What a final battle though. Son of a bitch that was amazing

Awesome awesome game. Production values of even the big console MGS installments. Looks, feels and plays like them too even despite the PSP's limitations. Bravo to the team for pulling this off on the hardware. Shame it didn't sell very well... Co-op is also extremely well implemented. Nothing too complicated or forced gimmick moves, just 1 more person there to back you up. Only complaint (as usual with MGS games) is the weirdness of the story, particularly in the final hour and how some things (some quite major plot points) just happen without explanation, rhyme or reason. One of the best parts is undoubtedly sky-hooking enemy soldiers out of the field and back to your base. Usually full of bullet holes. Bravo Kojima. Bravo. Hope there will be more like this even though it seems unlikely. Co-op works excellent in tactical espionage action.

Somewhat of a weird entry...I can see the design point of view: bite-size missions for on the go, but just didn't seem to gel too well...still was nice to get some more back story on Big Boss, the first Metal Gear, origins of Outer Heaven (stolen from the nut-bag end boss) and how Big Boss starts to go nuts looking for "a calling" and passing on what was given to him. Controls were a bit awkward too...but visuals were very nice for PSP.

Very awesome. Again very cinematic. Very different to the other 2 though. No modern gadgets. No postmodern weirdness. Lots of camouflage and eating animals. Don't think I was playing it right though because I was spotted in pretty much every room no matter what I did to sneak up on people...Very sad ending. Poor Boss was just doing her duty and got fucked over. I can see now why Snake does what he does now that he is the Big Boss. Portable Ops next!

Very good sequel. Both these games are crying out for HD remakes. Despite their age, still have an awesome story and did a lot with the limited technology of the time. This one established many of the conventions of the Metal Gear series. Awesome stuff. Still very playable to this day. Still hard too...bring on more Metal Gear
