Wow. Just....wow....don't think I've enjoyed a game so much since...Deus Ex: Human Revolution probably. Just did not want to stop playing it until it was done. A near enough perfect re-imagining of a brilliant classic updated with modern nuances making it just as good, if not better, than the original. Me, Steve, Kathryn and Betsy blew the field open with heavy weapons. Eugene and Matt covered us long range with dead-eye sniping. Scrooge was all out assault charging pointy tip of the spear with Nathan who brought in support and many live specimens. Steve 2 also brought in support but unfortunately developed a nervous condition causing him to panic under fire. Laura and Adrian saw little combat but tried admirably. Little John and Phil were the first of us to develop new and amazing psionic powers, but ultimately, it was Phil who made the final sacrifice to save the Earth

Restarting the fight. It's Halo. No doubt. 343 Industries first in the series is off to a good start. Didn't mess with the formula. It's still Halo. Quality of visuals is unbelievable. Looks like live action. And lots of really fun vehicle sections. Only faults I can give it is the music is very quiet, subdued and forgettable. Not like old Halo music at all which was unforgettable. And the story flings things at you without explanation and then takes them away again just as quick. But still. Bring on more of this.

One last visit to Italy with Ezio for a short PS3 exclusive DLC. Usual stuff. But brought back a lot of good memories. The next one will be in the civil war...

Rocky and weird start that didn't feel very Metroidy (mainly due to the lack of total isolation) but it very quickly pulled itself together and returned to old form later on. Can't decide if the wiimote controls are a blessing or curse though....strafing is very nice. As is the ability to free aim. But lock on aim never fails...The final closing of the game was also a bit...not...metroidy. But all in all still awesome and good to see the universe ridd of phazon once and for all

Another long forgotten entry left by the wayside perhaps...7 years ago. Finally laid to rest again today. Feels good. As for the game itself: good stuff just like it's predecessor. But with a lot of annoying new things...like dark world constantly eating you. And suit looking like ass for 90% of the game. And key hunting at the end...apart from that good stuff. Just hope #3 is more like #1

Very similar to the first (probably the exact same engine) but with the time limit removed. While this sounded nice at first, it actually meant the game could be much longer...and as a result, it felt like it dragged a lot. Also didn't like that the bulk of the game was in the underground "Dungeons" or "Holes". Preferred the above ground work. And it was also very cheap in a lot of places. But still good!

Long put off but finally played it in preparation for Luigi's Mansion 2 coming out soon on 3DS. Very fun game. Not the usual Mario jumping and stomping but more puzzley and Ghostbustery. Stayed fresh and varied enough throughout the whole game though and didn't get boring or annoying. Good show Nintendo for the very first Gamecube game ever.
